Uzbekistan e-visa is an online entry visa submitted through the official portal e-visa.gov.uz. It is not for every traveller: first check your citizenship, passport type, purpose of visit, length of stay and route.
This English guide is written for travellers searching from English-speaking markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Singapore and South Africa. E-visa eligibility depends on your passport citizenship and the official portal, not on language, residence or where the search is made.
CAJ.UZ is not the official e-visa portal, does not issue electronic visas and does not make visa decisions. We can help you understand which visa scenario fits your trip, check your itinerary, choose a tour, arrange accommodation and point you to the correct CAJ.UZ visa section.
For a trip check, send citizenship, passport type, planned entry and exit dates, purpose of visit, itinerary and number of travellers.

Practical check
| Situation | Does e-visa fit? | What to check | Correct section |
|---|---|---|---|
| Short tourism or business trip up to 30 days | May fit if your citizenship is eligible on the portal | Citizenship, passport type, dates and route | Official portal |
| Travellers from English-speaking markets | Depends on passport citizenship, not language or residence | The exact passport on the official portal before applying | Visa guide |
| Passport with visa-free entry | Usually not needed for travel within the visa-free period | Visa-free stay length, registration and route | Visa guide |

| Visa support / LOI / invitation needed | This is a different scenario | Check the visa support page | Visa support |
Uzbekistan e-visa fees
The fees below are officially published electronic visa fees. Always check the final amount on e-visa.gov.uz before payment, because the official portal and payment system may show the final amount under current rules and technical charges.
| E-visa type | Official fee | Who it fits | Important |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single-entry | $20 | One trip to Uzbekistan | Check whether you only need one entry |
| Double-entry | $35 | Route with exit and re-entry | Useful for some combined regional itineraries |
| Multiple-entry | $50 | Several entries during visa validity | Check whether multiple entry is really needed |
| Group e-visa | from $20 per person | Groups of travellers | Final conditions are checked on the official portal |
Important: the e-visa fee is not a CAJ.UZ price. CAJ.UZ does not collect the official electronic visa fee and is not responsible for the government portal or payment system.

Common e-visa mistakes
Mistakes to avoid
- applying too late;
- using an unofficial website instead of e-visa.gov.uz;
- mistyping passport number or name;
- selecting the wrong citizenship or passport type;
- choosing single entry when your route requires re-entry;
- not checking visa validity before entry;
- entering when the remaining e-visa validity is shorter than the intended stay;
- not printing the issued electronic visa;
- thinking that e-visa cancels registration in Uzbekistan.
How to reduce risk
- apply at least 3 working days before entry;
- check every detail before payment;
- save a copy of the e-visa on your phone and email;
- print the visa before travel;
- match the itinerary with the entry type;
- check whether registration is needed for each place of stay;
- for complex routes, check transit and neighbouring-country visas in advance.
Registration after entry
Electronic visa does not cancel migration registration. Foreign citizens entering with e-visa must still follow Uzbekistan registration rules.
- Usual rule: registration is arranged within 3 working days after arrival.
- Hotel stay: hotels usually handle registration for guests staying at the property.
- Several cities: keep registration confirmations for each place of stay.
- Responsibility: the traveller must make sure registration matches the actual stay.
How is e-visa different from visa support / LOI?
E-visa and visa support are different things. They should not be mixed into one scenario.
E-visa
- submitted through the official portal e-visa.gov.uz;
- depends on citizenship and passport type;
- usually fits a short trip of up to 30 days;
- does not require an invitation if your case fits e-visa;
- is not issued through CAJ.UZ as a standalone service.
Visa support / LOI
- is an invitation or support from the receiving side;
- is not needed by every traveller;
- is used in specific visa scenarios;
- is not an electronic visa;
- visa support conditions and packages are kept on a separate CAJ.UZ page.
