This guide shows the hotels we use on Uzbekistan tours with Standard and Comfort accommodation. Compare the options by city, browse the photos and find out why we include these hotels in our packages.
Which hotels are included in your package
For each city where you stay overnight, we select one hotel within your accommodation option, taking into account your itinerary and availability for your travel dates. Your written tour confirmation lists the exact hotels. If your tour programme has its own hotel list, refer to that list and your trip confirmation.
Standard and Comfort are CAJ.UZ accommodation options. Each brings together hotels with facilities and services suited to that option, although their official star ratings may differ. Differences between the two options may include room facilities, hotel services or location.
Standard or Comfort: which is right for you?
Comfort accommodation
For travellers who value additional services, room facilities or a distinctive hotel atmosphere.

If the listed hotel has no rooms available
We will offer another hotel of the same or a higher standard, with comparable accommodation facilities and a location that suits your itinerary. A substitution made by CAJ.UZ will not increase your agreed tour price. We will agree the new hotel and accommodation details with you in writing.
A different hotel requested by you, a change of accommodation package or a different room category may affect the price. Any supplement will be agreed in advance.
Why we offer these hotels
We select hotels based on the itinerary, accommodation facilities and the cost of the trip. Standard focuses on practical accommodation and a reasonable budget. Comfort offers additional benefits specific to each hotel, such as room facilities, services or location. A historic hotel in the old town may therefore be included in Comfort even if some of its rooms are small.
A location that suits your route
In Bukhara and Khiva, proximity to the old town matters. In larger cities, we also consider transfers and the sightseeing schedule.
The right room
We check bed arrangements, private bathroom facilities, and air conditioning or heating for your travel season. Please tell us about any specific requirements in advance.
Value for your budget
Standard focuses on practical accommodation. With Comfort, we offer the additional benefits of each particular hotel.
Your preferences
We check requests for a particular hotel, quiet room, lift or step-free access individually. Any supplement will be included in your proposal.

Accommodation option
Orient Star Khiva
Stay in the former Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasa within Ichan Kala. Its main appeal is the historic building and location.
CAJ.UZ lists this hotel as 3★. We include it in Comfort for its atmosphere and location. Some rooms in former students' cells are compact, and there are stairs. If you need more space or step-free access, please tell us before booking.

We select a Comfort hotel for your dates. Your itinerary proposal will specify the hotel, room type and price.
Accommodation in the Fergana Valley
You may stay overnight in Fergana, Kokand or Andijan, depending on your route. Visiting a city does not always mean staying there.

Emin Hotel is listed in the two-day valley tour; Voyage Hotel appears in longer regional itineraries. The exact hotel depends on your tour.

Margilan
As specified in your itinerary
The city is often visited on a day excursion without an overnight stay. If accommodation is included, your proposal will name the hotel.
Comfort accommodation in the Fergana Valley is arranged individually. We will suggest a hotel and quote the supplement after checking your dates.
Yurt camps, the Aral Sea and the mountains
These overnight stays are included only when expressly stated in the itinerary. Standard and Comfort may use the same camp: upgrading your city hotels does not change the accommodation in a yurt.
Ayaz Kala — Ayaz Kala Yurt Camp
For itineraries with an overnight stay near the Khorezm fortresses. A stop or lunch at the camp does not in itself include accommodation.
Nurata and the Kyzylkum — Qizilqum Safari Yurt Camp
For trips with an overnight stay in the desert. Your proposal will specify this camp or another agreed option.
The Aral Sea
The expedition camp depends on your Aral Sea itinerary. This is a separate overnight stay, unrelated to the camps at Ayaz Kala or in the Kyzylkum.
Mountain itineraries
A hotel, guesthouse or cottage is selected according to the programme, season and number of guests. Your proposal specifies the property and accommodation details.
What to expect from a night in a yurt
Yurts offer simple accommodation in a natural setting. Showers and toilets may be shared; hot water, electricity, heating and mobile reception may be limited. Before booking, we check the number of guests per yurt, sleeping arrangements, meals and facilities. Requests for a private yurt are checked separately.
Room types and accommodation prices
Choose your preferred accommodation and tell us who is travelling. Bed arrangements and the room category are set out in your written confirmation.
One double bed
A room for two guests sharing one bed.
Two separate beds
A room for two guests with separate beds.
Single occupancy
One guest staying in a room. Availability and the supplement depend on the hotel and tour.
What does “2 or more guests” mean?
A rate labelled “2 or more guests” applies to a trip booked for at least two participants. The label does not itself mean that the price is per room. Check the price details for your chosen tour to see whether the amount is per person or for the whole booking. Solo travel is priced separately.
The Comfort supplement depends on the hotels, dates, number of nights and guests travelling. Your proposal will specify which overnight stays are upgraded.
Family rooms and extra nights
For three guests, we will check whether the room has three beds or an extra bed. If you are travelling with children, please give their ages. Early check-in, late check-out, extra nights and hotel services cost extra unless included in your proposal.
Where to find your final hotel list
Your written tour confirmation lists the hotels, room categories, bed arrangements and included meals. This page introduces the accommodation options; specific hotels are confirmed as part of your chosen trip.
Accommodation questions
Can I choose a specific hotel from the list?
Yes, please mention your preference when you enquire. We will check availability and price. The hotel is confirmed for your trip only when you receive written confirmation; until then, it remains a request.
Are all Comfort hotels rated 4 stars?
No. Comfort is a CAJ.UZ accommodation option and may include hotels with different official ratings. For example, Orient Star Khiva is selected for its historic building and location within Ichan Kala.
Are the hotels suitable for guests with reduced mobility?
This depends on the building and room. Historic hotels may have stairs, thresholds and narrow passageways. Please tell us your requirements in advance so we can check the lift, floor and access to the room.
Where will we stay in Shakhrisabz, Urgench or Muynak?
Many itineraries visit these cities without an overnight stay. If your programme includes accommodation, the relevant hotel or camp will be named in your proposal.
